While swimming tonight, I started making a list of "unusual" things to do to enjoy the break.
Prepare for fun:
1 Drink a wacky beverage hanging out in the fridge.
2 Finish reading a book.
3 Download all of the Shop Smart apps that look good.
4 Defrost an item from the garage freezer.
5 Online shopping of some kind, like that wasn't going to happen :)
6 Return to pool on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
7 Play a game.
8 View at least one DVD that we have purchased.
9 Watch all of the items I have checked out, evil chuckle :)
10 Go to a store I haven't frequented in a while, or post office for mailing items.
Tomorrow I will think of things that are probably on the "should do" list, uh oh ;)
An ode to self-improvement and home maintenance with as little effort as possible. I kid, good effort, wise and well-thought out.

The week's goal: the 6 AM wake-up
I thought I prepped well the night before, but dog pandemonium reminds me that human plans are quickly cast aside by pet ones.
So, I am going to try to go to bed earlier tonight or at least watch tv less and start reading sooner.
Of course since the pool just announced opening at 5 AM this may all be rolled back even sooner.
Recipe:
Earlier shutdown
More reading
Less TV
More prep for tomorrow tonight

Saturday work avoidance with home avoidance
I know I hate going to the office on Saturday.
There are work items and other work items and school items, and they seem to be headquartered in my cluttered office.
After saying that, how am I shocked that I don't want to go in there, ha!
I did go to the pool, the library, Starbucks and laundry.
The newly made bedroom is soothing and I went back with Fall orange.
I wonder how Julie & Julia will inspire.
Oh, great, she said she needed a deadline-wow, that's deep considering :)
So, if I establish all work deadlines that sounds like a great start.
Time to nap on it.

Waiting for Dissertation Energy to Strike!
I think I deserved May to decompress from the Fall and Spring semesters, but now we are past mid-June and I know that Netflix streaming and disc, Library discs, and actual books are calling me.
I know my next project needs to be something energy related, otherwise August will be here and I'll have squandered all of my time lovingly on frivolity. Is that so wrong?!
Off to ponder . . . or nap ;)
